About The Area

The property of La Pintada consists of flat areas, gentle rolling hills, mountainous areas and small winding rivers. River lots and view lots are available. There will be a trail that will wind throughout the development for horseback riding, walking, jogging or bicycle riding. A community horse stable, tennis courts,and large gazebo party area will be made available.

Just 9 miles south of La Pintada Estates is the larger town of Penonome. Penonome, while quaint and well manicured provides the area with all the necessities of living. The area has very developed municipal and business infrastructure. Penonome has numerous grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, hardware stores, banks, clothing stores, hotels, gas stations, etc. In February, Penonome hosts a very large carnival celebration which attracts people from all over Panama, including Panama City.

Our development is in a very safe, no crime area. It is a secluded, uncrowded development, but not isolated. It is close to two nice clean towns, and less than 2 hours from Panama city. Public transportation is available from the development all the way into Panama city or all over the country. The area offers all conveniences, luxieries, and entertainment, while being affordable . Panama boasts breathtaking land and seascapes. It offers art, music, culture, and nature.

The cost of building a house and the cost of labor is much lower than in the U.S., Canada, or Europe. A full time maid costs between $90-$200 per month. Depending on your needs, a maid might be full-time, live-in, and will be willing to also cook meals. The costs of every day things is lower when living in Panama. If you are a foreign resident living in Panama, you are not required to pay property taxes for 20 years. You also do not pay taxes on foreign-earned income. Housing is affordable and prices for building and renting are dramatically lower than in the U.S.,Canada, or Europe.
