Just 3 miles north of the quaint town of La Pintada, Panama, is a new real estate development called La Pintada Estates. La Pintada, in English means “the paintings” which describes the etchings on boulders carved by ancient indigenous inhabitants of the area. La Pintada is a town which is also known for it’s artisians that still fabricate the famous “Panama Hats” and produce hand rolled cigars. Just 9 miles south of La Pintada Estates is the larger town of Penonome.

Penonome, while quaint and well manicured provides the area with all the necessities of living. The area has very developed municipal and business infrastructure. Penonome has numerous grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, hardware stores, banks, clothing stores, hotels, gas stations etc... In February, Penonome is the site for a very large carnival celebration which attracts people from all over Panama, including Panama City.

Within an easy 30 minute drive from La Pintada Estates are peaceful, uncrowded, beautiful white sand beaches such as Santa Clara, Playa Blanca and the all inclusive Decameron beach resort. In these areas, there are also three, eighteen hole, seventy-two par championship golf courses. Another nice beach, Juan Hombron is only 15 minutes from Penonome.

La Pintada Estates can be easily reached by the Pan American highway and two lane, paved roads in excellent condition in about 2 hours driving time from Panama City. There is also a small airport in Penonome for charter or private airplane flights.
